Canton, GEORGIA

October 24, 2008 - Creekland Middle School teacher Steven Emanuel, 46, was arrested Friday afternoon. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old at the school on Sept. 25. He was charged with with child molestation and sexual assault.

The student reported the attack to a school resource officers. The school investigated then called police. Emanual was reassigned two weeks ago when the investigation began. School officials said the victim was not a student in any of Emanuel's classes, nor was the student a member of the basketball team that Emanuel coaches.
