May 24, 2008 - Norman Finizio II, 46, a Quincy High School special education teacher, was arrested and charged with indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. He is accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl his home. He allegedly had her “play school” while he watched pornography.

The girl “told her mother that Norman would always put the pornography movies on his computer screen to watch. They always played school in his office,” a police report on file at Plymouth District Court says. The girl’s mother told police that she had confronted Finizio at one point after her daughter said he had explained to her what happens when a man likes a woman. “He explained how his body changes” the report says.

Finizio pleaded not guilty and was ordered held without bail.

INDICTED October 28 - A grand jury has indicted Finizio. On Oct. 7, he pleaded innocent to charges of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, providing obscene material to a child, and possession of child pornography.

The girl was a neighbor whom Finizio used to help with school projects, prosecutors said.
