Shreveport, LOUISIANA

June 6, 2007 - Charles P. Smith, 54, a Mooretown Elementary School teacher , was charged with filing a false report. He had accused Sabrina Brown, the school principal, of assaulting him.

Somewhat conveniently, Smith released what he said was an audio-taped recording of the meeting to local media.

June 7 - KTBS: Smith said he recorded the meeting because he is hard of hearing. The school system investigated Smith's allegation and cleared the principal.

Oct 16 - Smith was fired after a tenure hearing last week.

IT"S AUSTRALIA, but clueless doesn't begin to describe the husband of a teacher who became concerned about his wife's relationship with the student when he frequently found them lying in closed rooms or under a blanket upon his arrival home from work.

She's now charged with 230 charges of indecently dealing with a child under 16 and in her care. The court was told that the teacher was seen by witnesses hugging, kissing, fondling and having oral sex with the girl, then aged between 14 and 16, and plying her with liquor.
