Houston, TEXAS

May 15, 2008 - Fernando Gonzalez, 34, North Shore High School Algebra teacher, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography and indecent exposure after students saw the teacher watching porn on a computer at his desk and masturbating.

The four students notified a school administrator who then confronted Gonzalez. The administrators then escorted Gonzalez off campus and notified the police. Police say they found child pornography on two of his computers - one that belongs to the school and another that was not authorized to be on campus -- and on both they found pornography. Police seized two computers at his home as well.

They claim they also found child porn.
“We have those two charged and quite a few computer disks with child pornography on them,” Capt. Gary Jones of the Harris County Pct. 3 Constable Office said.

The district said one of the reasons they’re taking the claims so seriously is that the four students independently came forward with the allegations. Click2Houston: Court papers state Gonzalez tried to flee when the principal confronted him. Investigators said that he later confessed to having a large quantity of child pornography on disks and on a computer in his classroom. Officials said they found pornographic images of children as young as 5 years old on one of the disks.

The Galen Park School District fired Gonzalez. He had been with the school 10 years.
