May 29, 2008 - Raymond Totten, 47, a Fort Walton Beach High School boys tennis and golf coach, was arrested Tuesday, charged with with 50 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under the age of 16.
Investigators say Totten sexually abused a male student at Ft. Walton Beach High School dozens of times since December. Totten was immediately placed on paid vacation administrative leave.
Totten is being held without bond in the Okaloosa County Jail. Detectives say at first, Totten denied the charges but was found destroying pornographic images of the boy on a portable flash drive while be held in an interrogation room at police headquarters.Investigators say the abuse happened in Totten’s school office, the school library and in Totten’s car in the school parking lot.
