May 7, 2008 - William “Bill” Booze, 27, a Meadowbrook High School special education teacher appeared in court, charged with two counts of sexual battery on a 14-year-old girl. He was arrested May 6 after another student told teacher of the allegations.

He is the second teacher at the school to be investigated by sheriff's deputies in the past month for an alleged offense involving a minor student. A former substitute teacher allegedly sent nude pictures of himself to a juvenile student. His name has not been released pending the filing of formal charges.

Information regarding both teachers, as required by Ohio law, will be forwarded to the Ohio Department of Education for its review

Booze is on paid administrative leave. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 19th.

INDICTED June 7 - A grand jury indicted Booze on two counts of sexual battery and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
