March 19, 2008 - David Martz, 31, a math teacher at Turtle Hook Middle School, was arrested and charged with exposing himself to a 13-year-old boy in a bathroom. He told detectives he had done so many times before.
The married father of two has taught in the Uniondale school district for more than eight years. On Saturday, a 14-year-old boy was in the public bathroom at the mall and notice Martz staring at him.
"While he [the victim] was washing his hands, Mr. Martz intentionally turned around and masturbated while staring at him," Cote said. The boy rushed out and Martz followed, asking if he wanted to "go somewhere," Cote said. Security officials detained Martz until police arrested him.Martz pleaded not guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of public lewdness at his arraignment.
