March 20 - Grand jury refuses to indict on sex charge.

Mar 4, 2008 - Raymond Barry, III, 24, an assistant girls' basketball coach at Mogadore High School , was arrested and and charged with one count of sexual battery. He is accused of being involved in a sexual relationship that involved intercourse with a 16-year-old female district high school student.

Barry had been working for the district for about four years. Coaches are employed on yearly contracts. He was suspended in late January.

Barry was indicted on charges of falsification and obstructing official business, both misdemeanors. The misdemeanor charges accuse Barry of lying about having a relationship with the girl when questioned by police detectives. Police and the parents want to know why Barry doesn't fit the legal definition of an authority figure.
