March 13, 2007 - Kimberlee Anderson, 47, principal of Mission Valley High School, was dismissed after she arrested was a misdemeanor theft charge. She is accused of taking a small amount of money from a teacher's office.
The Wabaunsee county sheriff's office was called to Mission Valley High School to investigate a small amount of money stolen from a teacher's office.
GUILTY PLEA & SENTENCING April 15, 2008 - WIBW.com reported that Anderson who was due in court Tuesday on three counts of misdemeanor theft.
When 13 News called Wabaunsee County to check on the proceeding, learned Anderson struck a deal last Monday, April 7th. A nderson pleaded to one count. She was sentenced to 48-hours in jail, which she served last week. She must also pay $328 in fines and court costs and will spend six months on unsupervised probation.TT - We're willing to bet that all 184 students at the school and at least three hundred alumni know about the arrest and now the sentencing, which is why a betrayal of trust by an educator means betraying the belief and expectations of thousands of children and adults in a single act.
