Feb 8, 2008 - John Bullard, Jr., 49, a Hamilton County school administrator and principal, pleaded guilty to grand theft III and was sentenced to five years' probation and will have to make restitution.
According to the state attorney's office, Bullard wrote checks to himself on school accounts in the amount of $14,106.90. The court withheld adjudication of guilt. [TT - Meaning that if he repays the money and doesn't get into any trouble, at the end of his probation the charges against him will not appear in the public record. And there will be no grounds to revoke his teaching credentials.]
Bullard was director of administrative services with the Hamilton County School board until last year. He also served as principal of South Hamilton Elementary School in White Springs and of Suwannee Elementary East in Live Oak.
Bullard currently teaches at Richardson Middle School in Lake City.
