Jan 18, 2008 - Daniel Smith, 42, was arrested on suspicion of inappropriately touching students during a school assembly. He was charged with counts of felony lewd conduct on a child.
He pleaded not guilty.
The mother of an alleged victim notified officials at Washington Elementary School that her daughter complained of being inappropriately touched during a school astronomy assembly. Smith, an outside vendor, was hired by the school to put on the astronomy program.
Police have identified four other possible victims, who are 7 to 10 years old.
