Jan 18, 2008 - Shawn Bingham, 37, an assistant football coach at Hernando High School who returned to work earlier this week after four months on suspension, was arrested Thursday outside the school on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

He "had knowledge" that that his license had been revoked for 60 months. On Tuesday, he reached a settlement with the School Board on in connection with accusations that he had stolen $75 from a student's wallet at the school Sept. 17.

Gym Teacher Faces Felony

SENTENCED April 23, 2008 - Bingham pleaded no contest Friday to a reduced charge of driving on a suspended license. Bingham's original charge was a felony, but it was dropped to a misdemeanor as part of the agreement that he serve one year probation and 350 hours of community service at a youth camp.
