TRIAL SCHEDULED (Finally)

(News story date) Nov 7, 2007 - Calvin Darden, 39, Cheatham Park Elementary teacher’s assistant, will go on trial Nov 13. He is accused of molesting six students between the ages of nine and 12.

Arrested in February 2006, his trial has been postponed a number of times. He faces 25 counts of aggravated sexual battery, five counts of child rape, one count of criminal attempt to commit child rape, three counts of criminal attempt to commit aggravated sexual battery and two counts of aggravated assault in the case.

TRIAL RESCHEDULED Nov 14 - Darden's trial will be rescheduled later this week.

NEW DATE Nov 21 - Darden’s new trial date is scheduled for March 3, provided the trial conference scheduled for Feb. 22 does not result in further delay.
