Sometimes updates on stories don't warrant redating, but we often learn a lot.

Nov 7 - A Virginia county supervisor and teacher pleaded guilty to sexual battery of his daughter. The sentence was absurdly light. He was given a two-year suspended sentence, three years of probation and 100 hours of community service. At the time, we remarked that it is too bad communities can't sue judges for imposing slimeballs on the public.

Edward B. Barber has made the news again. He's started a website to provide information to people accused of crimes. The only story to date at the site was his own and that was pulled when the newspaper made inquiries. Barber's daughter is suing him for millions and he's suing the school district for retirement income of $200,000.

Barber still claims he is innocent and he only pleaded guilty to avoid incarceration. A poster at the news site, however, had a great comment you don't want to miss. Ironically, the site has a Google ad for parents who want to know if a registered sex offender lives near them. Barber is a registered sex offender.
