Beloit, WISCONSIN

Some things just shouldn't be forgotten.

August 11, 2007 - Daniel D. Anderson, 58, is being released from prison. He was sentenced in 1990 for sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl.

He picked the girl up from Rockford and brought her to his home in Beloit. Court records indicate Anderson's son told police that he saw a naked little girl in his father's room and heard her crying and screaming.

In 1979, he served time in jail and was put on probation for second degree sexual assault. The victim was a 16-year-old girl who attended the school he taught at.

Before this incident, Anderson was a teacher in Wisconsin. He taught at a Beloit school at one point as well.
Neighbors are being briefed on Anderson's release and the requirements imposed on him as sex offender.

Good explanation of sex offender notification laws.
