May 15, 2007 - Leonard Butler, boy's varsity basketball coach at South Torrance High School, was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
He allegedly met the girl at the YMCA where he worked. He is being held on $500,000 bail.
Police suspect there might be other victims because of Butler’s longtime involvement in youth sports programs, Irvine said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Dennis Brady at 310-618-5719.
PLEA Nov 6 - Butler pleaded no contest one count of oral copulation with a person under the age of 16, and one count of oral copulation with a person under the age of 18. He will be sentenced Dec 13.
