Lewisburg, PENNSYLVANIA

May 14, 2007 - Jack Hacelrode, 71, retired Bucknell University professor, was charged in March, 2007, with sexual abuse of a 10-year-old boy. An additional 20 counts of sexual abuse of a child for reportedly having child pornography were added.

Investigators say he had 249 images on his computer showing pre-pubescent boys engaged in sexual activity.

Police are investigating Hacelrode's activity as far back as the 1970s and are asking anyone who had contact with him during his tenure at Bucknell to contact the Milton state police substation at 570-524-2662 and ask for Cpl. Greg Watson or Trooper David Burns.

The statue of limitations on actions during that period has expired, but Johnson said information from that time might assist the current case.
