"These romanticized notions of being broken into the sexual world by the kind and caring older woman are just wrong because it doesn't work that way," Bradshaw said. "Most of these women have severe psychological problems, or they wouldn't be attracted to young boys."A state investigator for complaints about teachers who acts as a prosecutor for the Utah State Office of Education said that in 2000-2006, the state investigated 45 male educators and 15 females for sexual activity with students. With more than 20,000 teachers certified in Utah, these are relatively small numbers, according to the state education investigator.
TT- actually the numbers any state education departments investigate and prosecutes is minuscule compared to the number of teachers who are investigated by local police, arrested, prosecuted at a local level, and resign or are fired immediately.
A more meaningful figure would be the number of teachers who have had their credentials or licenses revoked because of it. That isn't a figure that is available to the public. Or in the article.
