How do you explain to fourth graders that their teacher is in jail?

October 28, 2008 - Jennifer Hudspeth, a fourth grade teacher at Corrigan-Camden Elementary School was arrested and charged with online solicitation of a minor.

Polk County Sheriff's Office says that Jennifer Hudspeth allegedly sent explicit text messages to 15 and 16 year old boys.

The Sheriff's Office began investigating the matter after a parent came forward, saying 15 and 16 year olds boys were getting the texts.

In addition to Hudspeth being investigated, a coach who allegedly came to a game intoxicated has been relieved of some duties.

"He was a teacher/coach. We've taken his coaching assignment away. He's in the classroom doing fine."
The Junior High Principal resigned last month after allegations of viewing child pornography online at school.

"The employee has resigned and that's Ray Bostick and he was a Jr. High Principal for a number of years and at risk coordinator. He has an investigation ongoing also," says [Superintendent Tom] Bowman.
A board member was also reprimanded for sending inappropriate emails to teachers.

The district reported Hudspeth to the State Board of Educators Certification and the Child Protective Service.
