BOND SET October 27, 2008 - Bond was set at $100,000 for Rebecca Daniels, 37, a teacher at Perspectives Charter Calumet High School. Daniels is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting at least one male student.

A school official said the allegations were reported to police and the Department of Children and Family Services on Thursday, and Daniels has been suspended.

A white drama teacher at Calumet Perspective High School on the South Side was charged last week with three felonies after allegedly sleeping with three Black teenage boys.

According to Tandra Simonton, a spokeswoman for the Cook County State’s Attorney Office, Rebecca Daniels, 37, was charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault and two counts of criminal sexual assault.Malon Edwards, a spokesman for Chicago Public Schools, said Calumet is a charter school and not operated by CPS.
Daniels allegedly had a sexual relationship with two 16 year olds and one 15 year old during the summer.
