September 5, 2008 - A judge ruled that Alan Beier, sentenced to four years in prison for undressing and photographing a 16-year-old male student, will not be released from prison while he appeals his sentence.

Beier claimed news coverage caused some inmates at the Baltimore City Correctional Center beat him last month. He was treated at a local hospital for a broken nose and facial cuts.

He faces two more trials.
