Berwyn, PENNSYLVANIA

August 28, 2008 - Jerome Bennett, 46, a seventh - and eighth-grade science at Saint Monica School, was arrested and charged with receiving and possessing images of child pornography.

Federal agents seized his computer two years ago computer on suspicion that he had downloaded child pornography. After comparing the images on his computer with photographs of the children he taught, but no link was found, said Michael Levy, chief of computer crimes with the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Bennett had been with the school for nine years. His contract was not renewed. Before Saint Monica, Bennett taught for five years at Saint Bernadette Parish School in Drexel Hill.
