July 23, 2008 - Joseph Curie, 51, a math teacher at Vista del Lago High School, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor child annoyance after a 15-year-old girl in his summer school class said she was being harassed. He has been accused of passing inappropriate notes to her.
The case has been turned over to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office to determine if charges should be filed. He was relieved of his summer school teaching duties Tuesday.
