Crack is illegal. Cocaine might even be respectable in some places. Depends on who you are.
June 20, 2008 - When police saw a drug dealer stop at an apartment, a woman came outside and got in the truck. A few minutes later, she returned to her apartment. The police followed the known drug dealer after he left the apartment, stopping him and arresting him on multiple drug charges after finding cash and cocaine in his truck.
When police returned to the apartment, the woman turned over a bag of cocaine. She told police that she bought the drugs from the dealer for $50.
“When the officers went back to the apartment she was under no obligation to even respond,” said Quincy Police Chief Robert Crowley. “She cooperated fully. It bolstered (detectives’) case against the individual they arrested in Braintree. She had no criminal record and the officers at the scene at that time decided not to charge her.”She was a first-grade teacher.
The police chief notified the school superintendent. The district put her on paid administrative leave while school officials worked with police to learn more about the situation. About a week and a half later, they issued a notice of their intent to fire her. She then resigned.
The school district notified the state Department of Education. Parents were not notified.
