Miami, FLORIDA

June 13, 2008 - Guillermo Triana-Prieto, 44, a substitute teacher at Dante B. Fascell Elementary School, was arrested for allegedly fondling two girls.

Triana-Prieto was charged him with two counts of lewd and lascivious assault on a minor.

Reportedly, he was helping the two fourth graders May 23 with their math work at the school. Textbooks were propped on their laps, he began touching them inappropriately over their clothes, police said. The girls reported the allegations to another teacher during an awards ceremony that same day.

Triana-Prieto has been a substitute for the Miami-Dade school district for four years. He has no criminal record.
