June 4, 2008 - Mark A. Commons, 22, a Malvern High School wrestling coach and tutor, was arrested on two counts of gross sexual imposition, both third-degree felonies. He is accused of sex with a 16-year-old girl. [He pleaded not guilty in court to sexual battery charges.]

It was Common's first year at the school where he was a tutor paid with federal funds. The girl's mother contacted Job and Family Services after Common showed up at their home last weekend, became angry and broke a door frame.

ARRESTED (Again) September 25 - Common was arrested Thursday on charges of intimidating a witness. The new arrest came after an investigation whether Common threatened witnesses involved in the case.

Common was charged with two third-degree felony counts of intimidation of a witness. He was taken into custody without incident at the Carroll County Sheriff's Office and was awaiting a bond hearing Thursday afternoon.
