May 1, 2008 - Michele Zulkowsky, 28, an ESL Assistant at North Penn High School, was arrested, accused of an innappropriate contact with a 16-year-old male student. She's charged with corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children
According to court documents, much of the contact was on school proper
ty and other students were in the class when it was happening. The contact involved touching and fondling. Investigators said the 10th grader was in an English as a Second Language, or ESL, class because he needed a little help in school due to a language barrier.
Zulkowsky resigned before she could be fired. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 8.

North Penn School District Statement
North Penn School District staff is working with Towamencin Township Police and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office in relation to a former employee charged with corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.
The accused is no longer an employee of the school district. The individual resigned on April 18th after being interviewed by police the preceding day at North Penn High School. The employee had worked as an English as a Second Language assistant for NPSD since January 2007, at which time the accused provided all the required clearances.
Student safety is a top priority of the North Penn School District. The employee would have been immediately suspended in anticipation of termination had a resignation not been submitted.
