Weston, FLORIDA

April 9, 2008 - David Layman, 35, a teacher at the Imagine Charter School, was arrested, accused of fondling a 7-year-old boy during a private piano lesson last month.

Layman is charged with lewd or lascivious molestation and lewd or lascivious conduct and is being held in the Broward County Main Jail without bail. Deputies contacted Layman on March 27 and told him about the accusations. He cooperated with deputies throughout the investigation and was arrested when he met with investigators. The charter school suspended Layman on March 28.
