Improper relationship with a student.

April 11, 2008 - Melissa Williams, 41, a teacher at Huntington Pride Academy, turned herself in after an arrest warrant was issued. She has been charged of improper relationship between an educator and student — a second-degree felony charge in Texas.

The student told police the sexual affair happened at her house after she sent him a text message. The mother of the 17-year-old boy contacted Protective Services who contacted the school. Huntington ISD police department investigated.

Williams is married and has four children, including three in the school district. She resigned Wednesday.
