Conway, SOUTH CAROLINA

April 10, 2008 -
Gina Black, 39, a South Conway Elementary School third-grade teacher, was arrested and charged with three counts of delinqunecy of a minor connection to an incident at a Garden City residence.

Black was placed on administrative leave on April 3. The three minors involved in the incident were all 17 years old, spokesman for the sheriff's office Neil Johnson said.

Black is accused of renting a house for the teens during spring break. School officials had overheard some of the teenagers talking about the events that took place. During the investigation, three of the 17-year-olds told investigators they contributed to the cost of the rental home and during their stay, Black allowed them to drink alcohol.

April 10 - Black was arrested after several staff members at Conway High School called the Sheriff's Office to report an incident they said happened over the school's spring break. The three Conway High School students told staff about the beach house and drinking.

Black has been suspended with pay since April 3.
