Why don't they beat moms with live-in boyfriends who beat their children?

Mar 5, 2008 - Travis D. Craig, 35, a substitute teacher, was arrested for whipping a child with the boy's own belt. He was booked on five counts of child abuse, one count for each bruise.

The mother told ABC15 she watched as Craig, her live-in boyfriend, attacked her son because he thought the 11-year-old was lying. The police report reveals more details, showing Craig first hit the boy in the forehead before taking the victim's belt and whipping him with it all over his body.

TT - Beating a child is never right. But so often these cases turn out to be overblown, and no one ever criticizes the mother who shacks up with someone who doesn't care enough about her to marry her and then she expects, what? Respect for her child?
