March 21, 2008 - Alison Ivey, 28, was arrested and charged with sexual assault for an sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student at Baldwin
High School.
Ivey, who previously worked with public relations for the Baldwin County School system, is a marketing teacher at the high school. Under Georgia law, a teacher accused of a crime is placed on paid administrative leave until a hearing by the school board can take place. Such a hearing could provide difficulties in Ivey’s case; Ivey’s mother is the chair of the Baldwin County Board of Education.
Coincidentally, a case is currently under investigation in Montgomery County where a school counselor, whose mother was the school system superintendent, is suspected of having sex with a student.
Full Name: Alison Diane IveyIvey is unmarried. She is the daughter of Baldwin County School Board Chairman Judy Ivey.
