Feb 27, 2008 - Corey Gesford, 37, a English teacher in the Mountain View School District, was arrested for forging a teaching certificate and lying about his college education.
Gesford faces one count of forgery, two counts of unsworn falsification to authorities and one count of illegal use of a professional title.
According to a criminal complaint, the Pennsylvania attorney general's Bureau of Criminal Investigations alleged that Gesford "altered someone else's teaching certificate to make it appear that he was a certified teacher in Pennsylvania.Gesford coached junior varsity basketball at Mountain View in 2003-4, and for the next two years served as a full-time substitute. Gesford served as assistant basketball coach at Lackawanna Trail High School this past season. Ge claimed a B.S. that he didn't have, either.
