Belleville, NEW YORK

Feb 6, 2008 - Lyle E. Walker, 34, a former Belleville-Henderson teacher, director of the Watertown Teen Center, and teacher at the Children's Home of Jefferson County, was arrested on a rape charge stemming from an incident nearly 7 years ago.

He is accused of having sexual intercourse with a girl between the ages of 15 and 17 sometime in 2001. [News story does not say when he was a teacher or why he left teaching.]
