Jan Gleaves, 39, a special education instructional aide at St. Helens High School, was arrested Wednesday night on charges of sex abuse and giving alcohol to a minor. Gleaves is expected to be charged with four crimes against a minor, including furnishing alcohol, third-degree sex abuse, contributing to sexual delinquency and welfare endangerment.
Police investigated after a parent found a "disturbing" message on her son's MySpace page.
Gleaves' neighbor said he saw teenage boys come and go from Gleaves' apartment, but thought they were just friends of her 12-year-old son.

Christine Marie Johanson, 36, of Rainier was sentenced in October to one year in jail for the third-degree rape of a 15-year-old Rainier School District Student. Johanson was an instructional aide, too.
INDICTED March 13, 2008 - Gleaves was indicted on sex abuse charges. She was also charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor, unlawful delivery of marijuana to a minor, contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor, and attempted tampering with a witness. She will be arraigned March 31st.

At 4:30 p.m. Friday, the court will consider a motion to change her conditions of release. She’s now forbidden to have contact with minors, except her son, or go places where minors congregate.Gleaves, who was released from jail March 31, filed the motion because “she wants to go to Little League baseball games,” said deputy District Attorney John Berg.She will have a pretrial hearing June 18.
