Northbrook, ILLINOIS

Dec 14, 2007 - Mark A. Puchalski, 56, a Glenbrook North High School teacher, pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of soliciting a prostitute.

He was arrested Nov. 14 following a Deerfield police sting operation.

Police allege that Puchalski came to a hotel in Deerfield looking to solicit sex, and offered an undercover officer five tablets of Vicodin, a prescription pain killer, as payment.

He has been suspended. His next court appearance is Jan 17.

Purpose

Most teachers are professionals who cherish their vocation and their students. They serve tirelessly to promote learning because they are professionals. They do not abuse the trust of parents, or students, or society.
