Nov 9, 2007 - John C. Holler, a West Hills High School teacher, was arrested on suspicion of molesting a female student. 
Police have not released the age or grade of the student.
A friend of the student told the school administration on Tuesday about Holler and the student's involvement. Administrators called the sheriff and the student immediately after the report was made. The student confirmed the sexual acts had occurred.
NOT GUILTY PLEA Nov 19 - Holler pleaded not guilty to six charges, including rape by a foreign object. There are, according to Fox 6, There are no allegations that Holler engaged in sexual intercourse with the 17-year-old female student.
Besides two counts of rape by a foreign object, Holler is charged with two counts each of attending an arranged illicit meeting with a minor and misdemeanor child molestation.
[Deputy District Attorney John] Philpott said Holler, an apparently popular teacher who has been placed on leave, had been corresponding with students via e-mail.A preliminary is scheduled for Jan 24.
GUILTY PLEA Feb 21, 2008 - Holler pleaded guilty to one count of rape by a foreign object in sexually assaulting a 17-year-old female student last year. He will be sentenced - likely to probation - April 23.
SENTENCED April 23 - Holler was was sentenced to six months in jail - not prison - and placed on three years' probation. Probation officials had recommended that Holler be jailed for 240 days. The judge said Holler can serve his jail time in a work-furlough program which he can leave during the day to go to work, but said he can no longer work in an educational setting where he has contact with minors.
