Nov 20, 2007 - Amanda Miner, 28, a substitute teacher at the Northwest R-1 School District, was charged with one count each of statutory sodomy and statutory rape for with a 16-year-old male student.
The male high school student, 16, alleged he had sex with Miner on three occasions at her home earlier this fall. He said Miner invited him over to play video games, and that the two later would have sex.Miner was not the boy's teacher, school officials said. They believe the two met outside school grounds.

On November 5, 2007, a teacher in a District Program was informed by a student that Ms. Miner had inappropriate sexual contact with him. This teacher immediately contacted the School Resource Officer and a report was filed. There is no indication at this time or since this report that any inappropriate contact with the victim took place at school. There had been no scheduled contact between the alleged victim and Ms. Miner during the 2007 – 2008 school year.The district removed her in Nov 2007 from the District’s substitute list due to unrelated performance issues.
