Sept 10, 2007 -
Jay Bradley McJunkin, 35, a Palmetto High School math teacher and coach, is on trial, who has been charged with five counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one count of lewd act with a minor. 
The charges stem from alleged incidents in Anderson and Pickens counties involving a 13-year-old boy between the summer of 2003 and March of 2004. McJunkin was arrested in the summer of 2004.
Mcunkin's wife is one of the assistant solicitors in Anderson County.
GUILTY PLEA Sept 10 - McJunkin pleaded guilty to two counts of lewd act on a minor.
Peter Them, 13th Circuit Solicitor, said, "There are so many victims in this case. We not only have the two boys victimized (and) the families, but every single good and decent school teacher ... people look at strangely now."He will be sentenced after a mental evaluation.
SENTENCED (sorta) Feb 19, 2008 - McJunkin was sentenced to fifteen years SUSPENDED TO two years in prison for sex crimes with two teenage boys. He must also register as a sex offender. The boys were 13 years old and 15 years old.
