ARRESTED August 1, 2007 -
Kent Armstrong, 45, a second grade teacher at Seymour Primary School, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure for masturbating in front of an undercover officer in a public park.

Armstrong was suspended. He is scheduled to appear in court August 6.

Aug 4 - Seymour Herald reports that, according to Knoxville Police, Armstrong apparently propositioned an undercover officer at the park, the two were going to a car and even before they reached the car, Armstrong had exposed himself.

From WATE: Armstrong also serves as a youth leader at Beechgrove Baptist Church in Louisville. His brother, Kenny Armstrong is the senior pastor there.

GUILTY PLEA & SENTENCING Oct 10 - Kent pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and was placed in a judicial diversion program. Under terms of a plea agreement, the charge will be dismissed if Armstrong gets in no more trouble during the next six months.

Oct 11 - The Knoxville News and Sentinel reports that Kent was sentenced to six months' probation. The judge ordered Kent to return to court April 2 for a final disposition of the case that might clear his record or result in the charges being dismissed.
