Pedophile Campaigner in UK a Teacher

Pedophile campaigner sentenced in U.K.

August 13 - Sentenced to 18 months but he may be held for life.

A paedophile activist, who has spent years campaigning for the age of consent to be lowered, has been jailed and warned he might never be released.

David Joy, 66, was a member of the notorious Paedophile Information Exchange (Pie) and has been convicted of 11 counts of possessing or making indecent images of children.

The Pie organisation was a network of like-minded people which argued children were sexual beings in their own right.

The judge made the sentence clear.
Mr Joy was sentenced to 18 months in jail but summing up, Judge Micheal Pert QC warned given his beliefs he might never be freed.

'It's clear that you hold firmly to a set of beliefs involving sexual activity with adults and children,' he said.

'Those beliefs are wholly in variance to the views held by most members of society, views that most of society would find abhorent.'

Judge Pert QC added: 'You will go to prison and you will not be released until it is deemed safe for you to be released.

'That day, if it comes, will come when they are satisfied you pose no further danger.'
