Oak Ridge, TENNESSEE

Paid time off for bad behavior.

August 1, 2007 - The Superintendent has recommended to the Board of Education that they fire a kindergarten teacher. The teacher has been on paid administrative leave since May pending an investigation into allegations she yelled at students or treated them harshly, despite "reasonable requests" harsh treatment and/or yelling at students be an acceptable means of interaction.

Even if they should fire her, it's not the end of it.

According to state education law, if the Board of Education hears Bailey’s recomendation and decides the charges warrant termination, Fellner will receive written notification of the decision. She will then have 30 days to request a hearing with a special judge, School Board attorney Chuck Cagle said Wednesday.
TT - They would have the same difficulties if she slept with a kindergarten student. It's called tenure.
