August 9, 2007 - Jerry Wayne Linton, 58, a David W. Butler High School teacher, was arrested and charged with three counts each of taking indecent liberties with a child, first-degree rape of a child under 13 and first-degree sex offense on a child under 13.
Investigators say Linton made two boys and a girl, all between the ages of 7 and 10, play sexual games. They say he also made the girl perform oral sex on him.Authorities said two of the three children involved are relatives of his.
Linton is also accused of taking nude pictures of the children and saving them on his computer.
Linton resigned in June. None of the incidents involve students.
Another CMS teacher, Amanda Athey, was also arrested on the same day.
