Ellsworth, WISCONSIN

You cannot make this stuff up.

May 30, 2007 -Two teachers have been placed on paid leave while investigations continue into gun deliveries to the school.

Scott McLeod and William Lewis are both licensed gun dealers, both denied they had done anything wrong. Neither has been charged with a crime.

School Superintendent Kaler said agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) told him they believed guns were shipped to the school on more than one occasion.

[Police Chief Greg] Place described the firearms delivered to the school only as "long guns" and said they were packaged and new. He said that he had never heard of guns being delivered to a school, "not in my 20-some years of law enforcement here," but said his department and the ATF were investigating.
TT - UPS delivered the new, long guns.
