Feb 22, 2007 - Elijah Hall, 37, a sixth-grade teacher at Tremont Elementary School, charged with two counts of engaging in lewd or lascivious conduct with children under 14 years of age, has a new trial date.
He is accused of molestation stemming from two girls' complaints that Hall had inappropriately touched them during incidents in 1999 and 2000. The trial was scheduled to start Mar 1 but will be delayed until May 3.

TRIAL RESCHEDULED - AGAIN Sept 28 - Hall's trial has been rescheduled to Oct 11. Hall, who is on administrative leave from his teaching duties, is free on bail and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
TRIAL DELAYED Jan 3, 2008 - A decision on the trial scheduling has been delayed until Jan 8. Hall has requested a court trial, which is heard by a judge rather than by a jury. He was arrested two years ago.
TRIAL DATE June 18 - A judge scheduled August 26 for the jury trial. Hall was originally scheduled for trial in 2006.
PLEA & SENTENCING August 26 - Hall pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of child endangerment. Superior Court Judge William C. Harrison dismissed two previous felony counts of engaging in lewd or lascivious conduct with children under 14 years of age.
Hall was sentenced to three years of court-supervised probation and one day in county jail with credit for time already served.
