Dec 4, 2006 - Leonard Palumbo, Lewiston-Porter Board of Education member, has been arrested and charged with stalking the family of a district teacher and coach. Palumbo was arraigned later in the day on fourth-degree stalking charges and ordered to stay away from Sweeney and his family.
It’s unknown what impact Palumbo’s arrest Monday will have on his school board status. Interim Superintendent Don Rappold, however, pointed out the alleged incidents occurred outside of school property. “This should have nothing to do with Lewiston-Porter I hope,” Rappold said.Your school board, serving by example.
UPDATE (Dec 12) Two judges have recused themselves and will ask to have the charge heard in a court outside the school district.
