Dec 1, 2006 - Oscar G. Villarreal, 49, a second-year Spanish teacher at Riverbend High School, was deported after he was convicted of a charge involving sexual misconduct with a 10-year-old girl. He had been charged with one count of taking indecent liberties with a child, a felony, but the plea agreement accepted was a misdemeanor.

He had been sentenced to a year in jail, but the sentence was suspended, Villarreal's visa was revoked, and he was deported.
