Dec 5, 2006 - David Lebowitz, 40, a Bethlehem Area School District middle school teacher, is seeking work release after being sentenced Nov 3rd to 4½ to 18 months followed by five years of probation.

He pleaded guilty to three counts of corrupting minors in a plea agreement in which prosecutors withdrew charges of solicitation to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and intimidation of a witness. Records say Lebowitz repeatedly cursed and made sexually provocative comments and jokes between September 2002 and June 2005. He also admitted to videotaping girls' cleavage and dropping pencils on the floor as a veiled attempt to look up their skirts.

Bethelehem Middle School includes Grades 6-8.
