Nov 14, 2007 - James Leonarczyk, 40, a Phillipsburg Middle School teacher's aide, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography found on his home computer.
An investigation of another computer user in Rhode Island lead investigators to Leonarczyk, said [Daniel] Hurley, [deputy chief of investigations in the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.]
Investigators are now looking into his interactions with students at the school.
Leonarczyk had been a soccer coach outside the district.

Hunterdon County investigaors over the course of a recent six-week investigation developed information that Leonarczyk bought inappropriate images of children on eBay from an adult bookstore worker in Monroe Township, Gloucester County, who was charged with possession of child pornography on Oct. 22, authorities said.Leonarczyk has been an employee with the Phillipsburg school district since 2004. He made less than $20,000 a year.
INDICTED August 1, 2008 - James Leonarczyk was indicted on second- and fourth-degree endangering the welfare of a chil and distributing child pornography.
The more severe charge accuses Leonarczyk of distributing child pornography between August 2006 and July 2007, according to the indictment. The fourth-degree charge alleges Leonarczyk viewed photographs, computer programs or files between August 2006 and April 2008 that depicted "children engaged in prohibited sexual acts or in the simulation of such acts,'' the indictment states.
