SCHOOL INFO: William S. Hart Union High School District " located in the Santa Clarita Valley (map from Yahoo) in the northern part of Los Angeles County." - from their website. June 5 - The school district settled a lawsuit by a former student who was seeking damages in excess of $25,000 for an alleged sexual assault by Scott Bell who sexually assaulted her in March 2006, when she was 13 years old. A criminal investigation at the time found that the actions did not rise to a criminal level. The lawsuit, however, includes an attempt to get the Hart district to implement some changes in the communication between teachers and students. The change would make it so that all communications between a teacher and a student using district e-mail would be carbon copied to the student's parents.-----------------
NOT GUILTY PLEA July 3 - Hubbell
pleaded not guilty to one

LAWSUIT - September 3 - The family of a 14-year-old boy has
filed a claim against the William S. Hart Union High School District, accusing a former counselor of sexually abusing him. The boy, who was 14 at the time, was assigned to Hubbell, and she became friends with him and his mother, according to the claim. Hubbell drove the boy home from school each day.
The boy's mother found a note under the boy's bed. "We can still enjoy the rub downs, the kisses, and our bodies caressing each other," the note reads, "while imagining the art of making love as we enjoy these moments together."
"You can tell from the grammar and from the text of the note that it is not written by a 13-year-old girl," the lawyer said. "It talks about `our sessions."'
Police are following up on the accusations.
